h bar = heavy gun.

"Heavy Barrel".  I got 2 green label HBAR's and thought they were special, but after 3 months or so of ARFCOM I learned they're heavy because Colt was too cheap to lathe the bbls to a smaller diameter, supposedly, regardless, I love 'em!

I prefer HBARS. Hell they're not that much heavier.
