Someone currently selling a rifle describes it as follows.

AR 15 A2 C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7
CAL .223
Sporter II

" They are Green Label rifles with 20" government profile barrel, bayonet lug, A2
flash suppressor, chrome chamber and bore, small FCS pins, large hole on lower
receiver.
This is as close
as you will get to the issue Colt service rifle without going Class III. "

Which current production rifle is identical to this?

Colt doesn't make one currently.

Doesn't have to be colt.
I know bushy makes a "LEO" version that is close. It is a 1/9 though.

Sounds like an M16A2 configuration to me.

I think you can order one from Bushmaster, you'll have to specifically request the 1/7 twist though.

Why not build one?

You could definitely order a 1:7 version from Bushmaster. They won't list them in their catalogs, but they make 1:7 barrels in 20" A2 and 14.5" M4.
