if im not mistaken it takes speacial barrels
the mgi is the one that could use any barrel |

eklikwhoa is correct, unlike the MGI version where any standard mil-spec barrel will work LMT MRP require their own special barrel that interface with the dual locking torque bolts and the barrel has the gas tube and gas block as part of the assembly.
as you can see from the picture. the MRP has the 16.1 inch barrel, the 14.5 is in the open and the CQB has the 10.5 inch barrel.

That 10.5 MRP is awesome. I love the unobstructed view on the top rail. These are still a bit pricey. I think a new quick change barrel runs close to $600. It seems like it would be cheaper just to swap out the entire upper.

More like $350-$450 a barrel.

Full retail on the chrome lined MRP barrels is $346, and $466 on the stainless match barrels.
It's possible to find them for less than full retail  ETA: It's a fairly expensive system to start, but with what you can do with it it's really not that bad in the long term. Interchangeability of barrel lengths, type, calibers...oh MY! Jason |
