Is that a SBR or is the barrel 16in but just looks shorter?

I think getting a light would make it look really good, or a detachable bipod.
Overall a very nice, very clean rifle.  Is that a Hakko Tacpoint by the way?

It looks "really good" already.

Repub18 brought up a good question: That barrel looks like a 11.5" to me...

Definately a front vert grip & maybe a light.   Other than that keep it simple.

Definately need a sling though.  I got a single point sling from www.attackopgear.com for $16.  Steve is a very good guy.  He took the time to call me on a Sunday to make sure I got the tracking # and let me know the status on my order.  It took less than a week to get it.  Very compfortable sling & easy to use.

I never understood a bi-pod on an AR battle rifle??? herwise-
Nice looking weapon!!  Very sleek..........

I never understood a bi-pod on an AR battle rifle???  ESPECIALLY a carbine.... Just don't make sense . Maybe on a 24" varminter or a target gun, but otherwise

Coffee,

Sounds like "looks" is the only criteria we are going by.  I don't have a problem with that, if that is your thing.  I kinda like the KISS.  If I need it, I put it on, if not, just more high speed junk to get in the way.

The only 11.5 I having floating around is a CAR15 style, but short is as short does... So here is a shorty.  I do like the 11.5, but don't have one....

I wish all you do-good, busy-body, hall monitors would climb back under your rock!  Not everyone on the planet has to comply with the stupid laws in the U.S.!  I´m in Panama this week.  There are thousands of short barreled AR´s here, and not one has ATFE paperwork!  Diego is not in the U.S.!

Do you guys with SBRs feel that it is worth the paperwork hassle and all the other BS that goes along with having a Class III weapon, like not being able to move freely across state lines?

It seems to me that a big issue before beginning a Class III collection is determining if you're planning on living and shooting in your current State of residence for some time....

Wasn't under a rock. And didn't intend a flame. I just was curious since I have paperwork in the mill someplace.

Thanks for assuming the worst when none was intended.

diego, that’s a coot looking rifle carbine. It looks like you have an HK style grip on it, how do you like it?

I’ve got plans to build two or three more SBRed arfs (I feel it’s totally worth it secondofangle). One as a lightweight Colt 11.5-inch A1 Commando, one will be the 10.5-inch LMT with RAS II and an Aimpoint, and maybe a second Bushmaster, but with the A3 upper and fluted heavy barrel.

For now though, the only Bushmaster SBR I have is a 11.5-inch heavy barreled A2; this one’s got about 9000 rounds through it.

+1 to that…

It’s some extra paperwork and a couple hundred dollars more to an already pricey weapon. It’s worth it in my opinion, the ultra cool factor goes way up!

Well for me its to thin i really prefer a grip thats thick.
This one is for people with small hands.
But its better than the original!

If the limit were at least 15, it'd be tempting. But only 5 guns? I'd go nuts .

Still, refreshing to see a European country with such comparatively lax gun control laws. Aren't they pretty much banned in all of Eurpoe excpet for Finland, Austria, and Switzerland?

BTW, sweet toy Diego.

Do you mean you're going to attach rails to the Hogue somehow, or swap it out for a railed FF forend?  I have a Hogue, and if you've figured out a way to attach rails, I'd like to hear it.

Thanks!
