I need to ask if one of you guys would be willing to send an A2 pistol grip to Lauer Custom Weaponry, have it coated in Coyote Brown, then mail it to me here in Iraq. I will send you some cash to cover the cost of the grip, the coating and the shipping. LCW told quoted me $10 to coat an A2 grip.

To do this from here would require me to order a grip. have it mailed here, then turn around and mail it to LCW and then have it mailed back to me. This would take 2 months.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the grip, but not the bolt and washer.  If that's still OK, we're good to go.

I asked for help om this for a couple of reasons.

1- I've been painting mine for 10 months now and the grip gets a lot of wear and tear and I keep having to repaint it.

2- I want a grip that mathces my Cav Arms butt stock.

3- It will give me a chance to test LCWs duracoat in a combat environment.

Thanks again for the help.

I received the grip today. Thanks Tim.
It looks a shade darker than the Cav Arms coyote brown butt stock I have but it depends on the light. I'll send an update as to how well the LCW Duracoat holds up. My pistol grip gets a lot of handling.

Wouldn't a pair of TAN (leather work) gloves worked? afterall your hand is covering the grip all (most) the time, isn't it?
this seems a little involved for just a colored grip.

That's an excellent idea and I have a way to help out over there for anyone wanting to:  I'm former Army and I work as a Marine Corps contractor now in Japan.  AAFES (Army Air force Exchange Service) is running 2 programs to help support our troops currently in combat, wounded, and the family's of those men and women.  You can also give it directly to sombody you know that is currently in the military as well.

This link will take you to an AAFES website where you can purchase $20 long distance calling cards that they will give to our troops overseas in combat zones or wounded etc.

This link will take you to an AAFES website where you can purchase gift certificates that they will deliver to troops overseas in combat zones or wounded etc.

If any of the mods would like to copy this and pin it somplace so that everyone will have a chance to participate It's cool with me..
