no, the laser is slightly offset to the side of the front site. If you took the spacer out of your ARMS Aimpoint mount, you would probably be able to co-witness your sights throught the optic if need be. You would also be able to get a consistent cheek weld on the magpul stock. Sometimes people dont know about those things, other tomes they do and preffer the optic higher. If you fall into the know and like it higher catagory, ignore me!

BTW, I have a similar gun, so I would guess that one weighs about 9 pounds.
