Does a Colt 6920 LE come in both A-2 & A-3 config?

A Colt know all will chime and and probably correct me, but I don't think an A2 configuration is available.

I beleive they are all flattops...the current 6920s I know some older LEO marked rifles are A2,the ones that now are valued in the 3 to $5000 range.

The LE6920's are A3 flat top 16" carbines with the step cut M4 barrel (for mounting M203 launcher)
The LE6721's are A3 flat top 16" carbines with a HBAR straight barrel
The LE6520's are A2 fixed carry handle 16" carbines with a pencil barrel

All with collapsible stock, flash hider, bayo lug.

the 6721s are the "AR-15 A3 Tactical", prior to the ban there were 134 of them made, most have been fired, of those 134, the NIBs have a value similar to a Colt Walker, $5,000 to $10,000.., if you do not belive that try buying a Colt AR-15 A3 Tactical 1 0f 134 NIB & see where the price range is !

You are probably refering to the AR15-A3 Tactical Carbine with the BD00XXX serial number prefix, of which there were 134 made before the ban, Dont know if they are worth that much now that there is no ban, dont really know if they were ever "worth" that much.
After the ban they were supposed to be marked LBDXXXXX with the Restrictions roll marked on the reciever side,
From what I have read there were several post bans that made it out the door without the restrictions, those are the ones I would like to know more about, anybody?

Last month I paid $950.00 NIB for my Colt AR-15 A-2 Government Model “AR6520”.  This unit was manufactured by Colt Defense and it has the now toothless Govt/LEO warning on it.  A manufacture date of 05/04 is also stamped on the lower receiver.  The SN# is LGC033xxx.  I know it was not Colt’s intent that I should wind up with something out of their “Defense” shop, but then again that is precisely why I bought it instead of the Bushy next to it.  It is an A2 fixed carry handle 16" carbine with a pencil barrel but I do not see that it is more valuable than anything else?  Does the fact that it comes out of their Defense shop rather than the Commercial shop add anything beyond bragging rights if even that?

Their commercial rifles (Match Target series) come out of their Defense Shop.

What you talkin' 'bout?!

Because of this statement I had to give my LE6920 a kiss and a big hug just to make her feel better.  She's priceless, PRICELESS, muahahahahahahahah

KY Imports had 6920 uppers in A2 available about a year ago, as I recall.
One Eyed Jack had 6921 A2 uppers also, back when he advertised in Shotgun News.
I think that Colt's website catalogs the model RO777 as an A2 version of the M4.
Does anybody know? Not intending to hijack, but one of these would make a great
KISS carbine build.
