That one runs around $350, if I remember correctly. |

awesome!!!
Oh and according to what I have seen, that light goes for a lot more than that... LINK. And with the XM tail cap, the cost would be even more! |
Things are a little different here in NH The local gov doesn't want the kids out on a school night. |

Nice choice and worth every penny.......but you already knew that!
Tell me that's not a "I got Dad's $ 400 flashlight!" grin! heh heh
No... that's a stuff a Snickers in her jack-o-lantern and post pics grin!
Thanks! Fortunately for me she's already grounded until age 35. That way I won't have to worry about some dirtbag asking her out |
Dude,
That is about the most BOSS thing I ever read in my life. CJan, you and you daughter rock. Keep on keepin' on! -Jim |
Your daughter is absolutely adorable. I've had some kids show up on my doorstep, and most of the parents that accompany them use the cheap plastic colored flashlights.
Personally, I think a 2D or 3D Maglite would be best in this situation. Maybe 2C for a child. It should last longer than Surefire lights shouldn't it? I've got a couple of Surefire 6Ps sitting around that I carry sometimes, but they don't last all that long, and the lithium batteries are hella expensive. On the other hand, what is this world coming to, when a flashlight starts costing upwards of 100+ dollars, not to even mention a $300-400 light? For that amount, it should do alot more than just light up. |
They do weird shit here in PA too, like having the kids celebrate Halloween on the Tuesday before. 4th of July celebrations are rarely held on the 4th. I can't get a good explanation of why they do it like that around here. Pennsylvania Dutch/German wierdness, I guess. |

Trick or treat here was thursday night. Man...I am glad I read this post though. My dumbass brother told me last night we set the clocks up...so here I am up at 8:30. Wait...I meant to get up at 9:30...crap I'm going back to bed.
She's cute, and I think she's got you wrapped around her finger. I don't think I would be brave enough to let my kids walk the streets with my Surefire's. Well, maybe my G2.
A few warning shots when they come to the door should be sufficient... Keep em safe... glad the family is having a good time! - BG |

Dude, don't tell me you spend throusands and thousands of Dollars on guns and gun accessories but can't afford a $30 SF G2
Christmas present for the little one |
I've never felt the need for one so I never bothered. I've got dozens of flashlights in the house, but nothing was suitable for her last night. Considering all the SureFire stuff I own I need to get with the program
I'm convinced that having a daughter is payback for being a man. |

Any one of their LED lights would have been great. Even an LED replacement head for any one of the lights you own would have given you more than sufficient light and battery time. They're great!
An LED would have been great-maybe we wouldn't have had to change batteries |
Totally cute and definitely knows what she wants... h.gif
Funny, my six year old son ask for a flashlight too for trick or treating but he got the 6p and not the M900. . What's funnier is that he knew there was a difference the two. I see I've trained him well!
Mine got the E2E with the LED head and I had the G2.
I have had trick or treaters here for two nights now. Man this Halloween thing is screwed up by local gov't. Kids don't know what night to go get that candy anymore. |
that's my only problem with surefires, short battery life
SF has an extensive line of LED lights that have much longer battery life.
CJan....
You and your daughter are cool. Great Halloween post. Her wantin' another picture put up....that's too cool too. |
After # 2 the light just ceased to work for the 3 rd target without any (to me) warning. It happened so fast we thought it was bulb, but we switched batteries and it was up and runnning again, CJan_NH please be sure to tell your daughter she looked lovely in both pictures. |

That's the best outfit ever! And what a compliment to have daddy's flashlight. What a lucky little girl. I hope she had fun on Holloween.
Thanks for the replies guys
When she gets home from school tomorrow this thread will be the first thing she'll want to see |
hahaha, man, did it always say that under your name? I have never noticed the gear queer there before!
It used to say "Token Colt freak", but that was redundant given the theme of most of my posts here It's been this way for a few months now. |
+1 Always great to see a protecting and loving father out there. |
Ha, so that's how it is over in that part of the state.... here we have T or T on the 31st, as it should be. |
When you NEED it, and dont have it... you WILL think differently. S |
