First off, thanks for looking as always

Like parents everywhere, I took my daughter trick-or-treating earlier. She asked for a "bright" flashlight to avoid walking through the puddles. To make a long story short the 4 cell MagLite was too heavy, and the AA MagLite wasn't bright enough. Finally she said "Daddy, could I have the flashlight on your big black gun?" (My Colt 6721...Gulp.)

My daughter was probably the only kid in the neighborhood to go trick-or-treating with a SureFire M962 w/DEVGRU tailcap

As a sidenote, we had to change batteries halfway through our three hour tour.

That one runs around $350, if I remember correctly.

Things are a little different here in NH The local gov doesn't want the kids out on a school night.

Your daughter is absolutely adorable.  I've had some kids show up on my doorstep, and most of the parents that accompany them use the cheap plastic colored flashlights.

Personally, I think a 2D or 3D Maglite would be best in this situation.  Maybe 2C for a child.  It should last longer than Surefire lights shouldn't it?

I've got a couple of Surefire 6Ps sitting around that I carry sometimes, but they don't last all that long, and the lithium batteries are hella expensive.

On the other hand, what is this world coming to, when a flashlight starts costing upwards of 100+ dollars, not to even mention a $300-400 light?  For that amount, it should do alot more than just light up.

They do weird shit here in PA too, like having the kids celebrate Halloween on the Tuesday before. 4th of July celebrations are rarely held on the 4th. I can't get a good explanation of why they do it like that around here. Pennsylvania Dutch/German wierdness, I guess.

A few warning shots when they come to the door should be sufficient...

Keep em safe... glad the family is having a good time!

I've never felt the need for one so I never bothered. I've got dozens of flashlights in the house, but nothing was suitable for her last night. Considering all the SureFire stuff I own I need to get with the program

I'm convinced that having a daughter is payback for being a man.

Any one of their LED lights would have been great. Even an LED replacement head for any one of the lights you own would have given you more than sufficient light and battery time. They're great!

After showing my daughter this thread she thought that having her picture here was better than being on TV

In typical six-year-old fashion however she decided that the picture was "rotten" and demanded that I take another-complete with a costume change of course. This is the only (posed) shot that met her approval

Women...

Just like her mother

Funny, my six year old son ask for a flashlight too for trick or treating but he got the 6p and not the M900. . What's funnier is that he knew there was a difference the two. I see I've trained him well!

Mine got the E2E with the LED head and I had the G2.

I have had trick or treaters here for two nights now. Man this Halloween thing is screwed up by local gov't. Kids don't know what night  to go get that candy anymore.
