I posted this in the ammo forum, and didnt get many responses so I decided to try it here.
What kind of accuracy should I expect out of the Lake City M855 62 gr. green tip.
BM 14.5 bbl with muzzle suppressor ( = 16 inch total ) with 1 in 9 twist.
Would like to know others experiances with a rifle similar to mine.
Thanks.

You should be able to get 2MOA off the bench.

Mouch,
Do you mean 2.0 inches @100 yards bench resting?
Please forgive my ignorance to what may seem as simple questions as I am learning.
Thank you.

Should I expect the M855 to be more accurate than american eagle 50 gr. (AE223G) ammo?
Thanks

Is this the 50gr JHP American Eagle?

The 50gr JHP AE appeared to have a much flatter trajectory than AE 55gr BTFMJ and 62gr BTFMJ. I'd guess that the 50gr JHP will be more accurate.

Yes it is the 50gr JHP American Eagle.
I have not shot any of them yet though.
I picked up a case of them the other day from a friend who was hard up for cash. ($85.00)
Im wanting to get some of the LC M855 ammo and see how well it shoots.
Was thinking of buying in bulk if it shoots decent.
I know its 62 gr compared to the 50 gr. AE ammo, but from what Im understanding with a 1 in 9 twist, I want to shoot medium to heavy loads instead of the lighter ones.
But Im sure its also like many have posted here before that what shoots good out of one persons gun may not shoot so good out of anothers.

Try the 50gr JHP and see how it shoots. I was only looking at the trajectories listed on Federal's site and the 50gr JHP had VERY good numbers (much less drop at longer distances). I was going to try it but the XM193 was cheaper and I wanted to use that to "break in" my 24" AR-15.
