Yes they did make some replacement M16A1 barrels a long time ago.

FYI, I bought an FNMI stamped 1-7 20" A2 barrel from Fulton. It is a very nice barrel. ($199)

What he said  I think it was FNs very first order w/the military. They built a bunch of 1in12 A1 type barrels for replacement on M16A1s. Too bad they weren't 1in7's. Then those of us who like the lighter A1 type could have our cake and eat it too

I have a FNMI 20 LW 1/12 barrel purchased with a surplus USAF upper. I posted the question here a couple of weeks ago and was told that FN did indeed make replacement 1/12 barrels for the AF in the early 1990's.

CMMG was selling these about a year ago. Maybe they still are.

The message where these barels were was old and they have no more but thanks to all for the info, now if I see one again I know what I'm looking at. Thanks
