I'm looking to put a A2 bird cage on my post ban upper and have been in contact with a local guy who might be able to do it. Here is the response I got from him:

I spoke with DPMS today and found out how they attached there

My question to you all is what does this mean? Would I just be better off picking up a pre/no ban barrel?

Sounds like he may be wanting to cut the brake in half lengthwise down the threads to get it off... hence his warning he may cut the threads...

I could be wrong though.
