Haven't examined the late style ribbed type, so can't say; but the early type have a "1" on the right side, located so you have to pull down the release lever to see it.

My colt 9mm has no marking on the stock at all.. Made in april of this year..
Yes I know it's all Colt, I broke the seal on the box myself.. |

it is as duffy says. the new colt 6920 stock has no markings what so ever |

For what they charge you think they would at least have the Colt emblem on them!
