What was the difference between the east coast and west coast SAM rifles?

IIRC, the west coast version is the one with the KAC M5 RAS and TA-31F.

The east coast version has a KAC FF RAS, SS barrel, and some choice of glass.

Those descriptions may actually be the opposite, I am not 100%.

1st two photos are from news services, pulled off the net - both taken in Iraq.

2nd photos are from the USMC.mil website - 22 MEU in Afghanistan.

Leupold TS-30 is the scope used on the USMC “east coast” SAM-R

Leupold makes a civi version, the MR/T
