When permanently attaching a Phantom by pinning and welding, do you just drill a hole in the FS, insert pin and weld the hole up?

What to use for the pin, small round stock?

Can anyone post pics?

I drilled and pinned the Phantom to the barrel and my neighbor tig welded the whole.  Then I touched the area up with a flat black metal marker.  

My digital camera won't focus that close on this area or I'd show it to you.  But you can hardly make out that there was a pinned hole.
