I am looking for a magnification scope for my new ar-15.  I want great magnification power, want it to be compact and sleek looking, but I do not want to pay more than about $500 for one.

Can anyone make some suggestions please?

I got a BSA 6-24X40 Illuminated Mil-Dot for something like $100.  And I love it. It holds it zero great.  Only recomended as a target scope though.  The illuminated reticule is great for shooting at black targets.  My .02

Thanks for the reply.  I don't want that if it is bulky.  Do you know anything about the TRIJICON ACOC TAO1NSN 4X32 SCOPE?  Is $850 brand new in box a good price?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.  I am looking for something sleek and compact though as opposed to long.

you can get the super sniper from swfa in side focus for like 399 and then add about another 100 for rings and you got good glass and mounts for right around 500

i have one and feel that it is superior than other scopes in the same price range

I got a Burris Mini 4x for $150, it's a good scope, and very compact design. Looks right on an AR, and works good.

I went with a Burris Fullfield 2 3x9 with a Larue SPR mount. Holds zero perfect, ran me just under $450. Natchez has the Fullfield 2 (ballistic plex) with a free 20x spotting scope for $199 bucks.

Ditto on the IOR M2.  Excellent.  Mount it with the Armalite 30mm scope mount.
