First off, I can't get both.  This will be my first AR.  The choices are:

1.  M4A3 Bushmaster 16"(most probably a 1:9) that aimsurplus.com has on sale

2.  CMMG 16" upper 1:7 MOD4A3 + a lower and 6 position stock

The CMMG doesn't come with a carry handle.  I'm planning on buying an Aimpoint as well anyway, and a BUIS down the road.

It will be used for plinking and hunting.  Should I stick with a well known company like Bushmaster or go with CMMG to get the 1:7 and save some cash.
