Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ordered my first FF rail last week and have a stupid question

I ordered an LMT upper with a Daniel Defense FF rail.   Is the rail easily removable, or no?  And if not how do I get to the gas tube?

Hopefully it doesn't require removal of the barrel.......

It is not easily removable. You'll have to punch the pins under the FSB and slide it forward.

Removing the FF tube includes removing the special barrel nut that comes with it.  At that point, the barrel will come off with a sharp tug...
