The more I shoot my new Bushy M4 the more I love it. Had no problem destroying a steel plate at 100 yards with Irons and EoTech, I ended up cutting the Eo off because it took all of the challege out of it, lol. Here are the results of the Eo at 50yards on paper:





And here are the results @ 200yrds with the Grendel. Still early in load development but I think the 120gr Nosler BT's have great potential once I refine the load. Also ordered some 100gr Nosler BT's, Hopefully I'll get a chance to load them up and try them out in a week or so. Should be a hot little round. One of the Grendel guys is reporting 2950fps and very tight groups with the 90gr Spears. Anyways, here are the results, I was shooting fairly fast so the groups could have been smaller had I put a little more effort into the shots but I was out there more for fun then precise shooting, lol.

just to clarify, this wasn't one group. Lowest shot was made during elevation correction for 200 yards, Middle group that is somewhat touching is 1st group with one flyer to the right, upper shitty group was with some Noslers that were loaded a little warmer then the first group and opend up on me.





We also got my buddies new M4 sighted in and properly broke in
It's his first AR and he was shooting irons only. RRA 16" 1 in 9 upper. Shot great, he's already talking about ordering an EoTech, lol.

Okay..I jus seen the new .223 SHORT FAT ROUND today, dunno exactly what it was called, is that the same as the 6.5 or 6.8? Jus wondering.

Not sure what round you're referring to. Neither the 6.8SPC nor the 6.5 Grendel measures in at .223 though

Im running 120 grain Ballistic Tip Boat Tails in my .260... very impressive load for my .260... I blame the errant shots on the shitty shooter... the damn thing put 3 shots touching :D  Yea, Im bragging because its the best damn reload I have ever made.  Bite Me.

lol, 2550fps was average if I remember correctly. "errant" shots were the shooter I was shooting pretty quickly. I'm more then capable of holding a tight group if the gun is capable and I take the time to shoot for accuracy.

yep, 140grainers were average 2350 or so for me. 90-100grainers are coming in at just shy of 3K as reported by another Grendel shooter. I just started working loads up for mine and haven't tried anything other then BLC2 yet. Still plenty of room for improvement just need to take the time to find the best combo.

A few of the guys on the Grendel forum are much farther along in the load development process then myself, here are some of their results. These are the results WalkerTexasRanger (at 65Grendel.com) has reported:

All loaded mag length (2.27), 200 yards 5 shot groups: N120BT, 26.2 N133, CCI 450 Primer = .68" 2530 fps L123, 28.2 H322, CCI 450 = 1.68", 3 in .60" 2671 fps Caut 119, 28.2 H322, Fed 205M = .59" 2680 fps Caut 119, 26.4 N133, CCI 450 = 1.2" 2556 fps L108, 29.2 H335, CCI 450 = 1" no chron L108, 28.5 BenchMark, CCI 450 = 1.4" no chron L108, 29 BM, CCI 450 = .79" no chron L108, 27.4 N133, CCI 450 = .9" no chron S120, 26.4 N133, CCI 450 = .48" no chron I have now tried upwards of 60 powder/primer/bulllet combos and these are the clearly the best, from an accuracy perspective. These are safe in my rilfe. That does not mean they will be safe in yours. I do not take any responsibility for ammunition that is out of my control. Always start well below these and work up.

260 Rem won't fit into an AR-15 magwell.  The whole point of the 6.5 Grendel is to give you a 1000+ yard accurate, effective cartridge in an AR-15.

Yes, I realize that... hence my excitement when a short 6.5 will run as close to my .260 as it does...

Hey 02, why do you use those Shoot-N-See targets?  I have the same scope that you do (without the gold ring though), and I can see 6.5 holes just fine at 200....   I do usually use orange targets, but I can see holes in black too when I use black bullseyes.  Just wondering.

I don't need them but I figure I'll use them since I bought them. And you're right, they're definitely not a necessity with that scope.
