I am considering this set up and want hear experiences with it and see how it looks. How does the mount stand up over time. Is it as durable and convenient as one mounted on a flatop. How does visibility through the sight compare?

Very interested in feedback on the same information.

Have a 14.5 inch A2 and 16 inch Dissipator A3 and only one of them is getting the TA31 ACOG.
The other will get an Aimpoint.
Which and for what reason?

The forward mounted Aimpoint works very well. Mine's on an Aimpoint Gooseneck. I doubt any carry handle mount is as durable as a flattop setup but it's good enough for the military to issue. The ARMS 39 would probably be the best mount but my Aimpoint mount is good enough to shoot sub 1.5 MOA groups with.
