Whats the scoope? Do you need a letterhead or just police ID for the 6920. Why can't police ID be enough and does anyone know the back orders, how long?

I know of a shop that has the 6920 in stock NIB for 1299. Email me for the info.

Why would I need a police ID or letterhead?  I don't understand.  The AWB sunset.  Or is this one of Colt's marketing schemes?

Colt marketing plain and simple, and $1300 is way too high. If you are buying on LEO status, you shouldn't have to pay obscene pricing.  Actually neither should anyone else, but at leat Colt is trying to keep the LE price tag down.

I was offered a Colt 6920 for 1,035 NIB shipped by a distributor via my dealer. I gave photo police ID copy and now Colt changed the game rules, requring a letter from my agency. Well my agency does not authorize the use of the AR. I was told if you want the AR you need the letter. What Gives?
I will not pay anything over 1,000 Dollars for a rifle which normally sells for 850.00. I was also told I am looking at a apphock.gifrox. 3 month wait.

Agreed, if I were you I would simply wait a few months for things to settle down.  I paid $700 and something for my AR15A3 a few years back, these current prices are hideous.

Oh, and I would try a new dealer as well.

Thanks, Hopefully kerry don't win and Bush does not push for a new AWB anytime soon.

I don't know if we could really wait a few months for things to "settle down".  The election is 19 days away ya know...

Worse case scenario my wife is also a L.E.O. and her department does authorize AR for duty use. I can always get it thru her department letterhead and can always trade her my BM Leo for the colt. Also the good news for me would be the less wait due to the new strict policy from colt. There would be more supplies of the 6920.hug.gif
