In this country, yes. In other countries where military cartridges are off limits to civilians, it has a practical use/market. Here, it's an expensive, regulated curiosity. |

Well, the main difference is that .22LR is a cheap, readily accessible plinking round whereas .32ACP is something like $8/50. |

an AR in ,22lr rocks....32acp is just a waste and useless IMHO.

I bought one of these back in n1980 in 32 ACP.....don't really know why. It looked like a AR-15A1 with a full length barrel. I only shot it a time or two. The ammo was expensive and as everyone knows, the cartridge is weak. Really don't know what it was good for and sold it shortly there after.

While I will admit the idea and this particular application of the .32 ACP is laughable, the cartridge itself is nothing to laugh at. Many have been served well for years with the Silvertip (and now new loads from companies like Corbon) and guns in that caliber like the Kel Tec, Seecamp, and Walther PPK etc.

Okay, perhaps the Red Ryder/Wrist Rocket remark was a bit harsh. I do have a Guardian in .32ACP -- very easy to carry. It is certainly better than not carrying at all. A Kimber Ultra Carry in .45ACP is not all that much bigger or heavier and is much more accurate (easy to shoot 3" groups clear out to 25 yards), however. Ballistically there is no comparison. |
