Got to go out saturday and play with the new AR (RRA middy, A3, full stock, ARMS 40). Sighting in was easier than I expected. Post up one click, ARMS left one click...done. Now I know what they mean when they say "This thing shoots better than I do." 1-1.5 inch groups at 50 yards. I'm sure with a little practice those will tighten up nicely. The longer ranges were being used by a HP event, so long range stuff will have to wait.
I did notice the tell-tale SPROING of the A1 stock. I've heard that after a while it is un-noticeable, but man it sounds funny. My buddys m4 stocks didn't seem to do it though...is this a full stock phenomina only?
No pics yet...(need to hook up with photo server), but I'm sure you've all seen one before. I like my current set-up, and don't forsee changing much. The m-4 config just didn't "feel" right. I think the middy is where its at!

Thanks again to my new found shooting bud, you infected me with BRD.....I know you'll read this sooner or later.  BTW he also introduced me to a wonderful young lady at the range, her name is LULA. ............I think I'm in love..........

Now that I think about it, there was a "SPROING" thread awhile back...can anyone find the link, my search is still limited to 30 days...thanks.

Rifle length buffers and springs make the springing noise, carbines don't.

I love that sound, that and the smell of LC M193. Brings me back to 1987.
