Two of my new no-ban rifles that were recently assembled got a trip to the range today. Both worked great! On the left is an M4 copy. The barrel is 14.5 inches and still has the A2 flash hider, so it had to sit on top of an SBRed lower, it’ll be heading up to Gemtech tomorrow to get a permanently attached Bi-Lock. The rifle on the right is just a simple little A2, nothing special there, just simple and straight forward. Both rifles functioned flawlessly and shot just a tad low at 50-yards. Great day to be shooting.

Hey Darkest 2000, it’s TB from Battelrifles.

The M4 will probably get an Aimpoint and have an attachment for the M4-96D that I don’t have yet. The lower that it will go on once it doesn’t need a Class III lower is a new LEO marked Bushmaster lower. The A2 will stay exactly like it is; just needs more ammo! I have a couple others that will become A2s also and a few that will become A4gerys, but that one is done.

Exactly! Saw it in a book about Navy SEALs; a carabiner attached a vest or suspenders or in the SEAL’s case, to his collar, makes for a simple QD attachment point that always has the weapon at the ready. This lower is usually on a shorter weapon though, the lower that will go with that new M4 upper is a new Bushmaster LEO marked deal, I need to have the barrel 16+ inches first.

Which one? I’ve got three so far and two more parts kits. There’s a GB on the falfiles for Belgian HB (50.42) kits and I’m really hoping to pick one of those up, if they make it into the US.

I'm liking those Bushmasters...especially the A2. Simple and basic the way it should be.

BTW what is that spotting scope you in the pic. Is that an NSN plate I see on it? Where did you get it and how much?

I was thinking chartreuse would add some pizzazz to the ammo can…

The spotting scope is a M49 with the M164 case. I got it from a neighbor a few years back when he was going through a rough time, it was $40.

Just like everybody else, I have waited a long time to put these rifles together. They’re be more coming, but this A2 will stay just like it is, I just gotta keep the KISS principal in mind.

Whoa, I've been looking for an M49 for a long time now. Are they discontinued or something?

And it's toobad I live in CT. That A2 looks awfully tempting.

I too enjoy the KIS look of my rifles.

I just built up a franken AR: Bushmaster 24" NM Hbar (Pre-Ban/No-Ban with A2 hider), RRA A4 upper, Ameetec Lower, and RRA parts/components with a cheapy BSA 8-32x44 scope that handled the recoil from 800 rd through a 7.62x39 Vepr.

It shot very high at 100yd (almost 12") and once zero'd at 25yd, it would hit whatever I was aiming at either in off-hand, prone, or in a bench position w/ XM193.

I still need to wait until my CC is paid off before getting a rear sight (either a detachable carry handle or a detachable rear sight, nothing fancy).

I have the standard A2 handguards and A2 buttstock like your 20" - I just love the stock/issued-style furniture!!!

I never had a problem with the hole between the pistol grip and trigger guard so "The Gapper" wasn't needed. My RRA Upper and Ameetec Lower fit so well that the only "play" I could find was a slight side-to-side motion that you'd feel only when shaking the rifle laterally, so I didn't feel an Accu-Wedge was needed.
