Mine works great. I bought it 2nd hand, and have run nearly 5000 rounds through it in the last year built out with a telestock and 16inch DPMS upper.  My friend built one out in an A2 configuration and has had 0 problems.

I've built four. All assembled, and run, fine.

Man, that's A LOT of rounds to run through a gun that's such a pain to load.  Way to go!

My FAB-10 lower wasn't the greatest. Had various issues and the finish comes off fairly easily. Wish they would just do a standard anodized finish on it instead of the painted finish it has on there. Anyways, I had difficulty with the buffer tub install (tried a few different ones too...rifle and carbine), the hole for the safety detent pin was drilled off a little OR the safety selector stops weren't milled down far enough...either way, the safety lever hit the stops....and the mounting area for the pistol grip was out of spec and too wide so I had to shave down a grip to get it to fit (I could strech fit it but then it bulged so much that it would block the safety selector ...) Wasn't installer error as I've built many lower over the past 10+ years...

Overall, I would rate it as a crap lower and if it was a "standard" AR lower, I would never buy another one but....I tried parts from Colt, Bushmaster, Vltor, LMT, etc. etc...definitely not the parts....I just bought one for shits and giggles (as I already have a few normal AR's)....I did finally get it built and it seems to work fine (dry fired it with snap caps) but I have yet to fire it....I'm sure it will work fine....

Hopefully, yours won't have so many issues...I think I would rather buy a 80% "FAB-10" lower (I think Tannery sells 'em) and build 'em that way....it's probably just as expensive to build your first one (buying the 80% and the tools) and then the rest after that would be much cheaper...

gs430....what was your serial # on your fab......I hope mines made a little before or after it...I think mines in the 1100's
also you said that colt parts didn't work for the fab...I thought that it was built to colt specs....also since you've already built your fab, what trigger did you put in?

My sympathy is with you. I hope you manage to retake your state back from the fascists some day.

What mods are you doing that allows you to shoot either 6.5 or 243WSSM?

In the process of building mine right now off the FAB10 lower and the threads were messed up.  I had to get them remachined to match the stock, it wasnt hard and it didnt take long it was just a pain.  Other than we'll see as tiem goes on.

Mine was perfect, fit great, and it did its job. Thank god I got to sell it for more than I bought it for, and moved back to freedom. TX

no way we can ever do again...only way is to overthrow the gov. and send all the anti-gun faggots/bitches to cuba or Iraq....

I'd just want to get out of here, but sh*t all family is located hereand I can't get them to leave without a real good reason/cause

what I will probably do is break shoeless venture's warrantee of not removing the magazine...
I'll have to remove the mag--the only thing that's holding it in is the small rivot and the hex screw on the side...then I'll have to take the 6.5 or 243 mag and cut it down to the same length/size as the original .223 mag...then probably have to trimm the mag spring a bit....drill a hole at where the rivots going to go and hopefully things will work out.....It probably will I think....if not I'll just keep trying...buy another 10rd mag or so in the 6.5/243 and try again...
