I have a PWA lower (used to be a preban). It is a fine forged lower. I don't know if they ever made complete rifles though.

1. yes, they are fine, but they only made lowers, not complete rifles AFAIK 2. No, they are no longer in business. 3. He could sell it to an individual (though an FFL) in a state that still has a permanent ban (other than Kalifornia). 4. if it is not a registered SBR, he needs to ensure permanent barrel length is 16" 5. My suggestion is that he should just go out and shoot it. |

PWA went out of business in 1994, and LMT owns the name

I created the post then sent the link to my friend. By the time the phone conversation ended, we had decided that, like _Dr said, his best option is to go enjoy it.
