Buy the Colt. Almost all the mil-spec advantages over the Bushmaster are in the upper anyway. Its only a little bit more, but its a far superior piece of machinery.

When colt uppers drop in price to normal then Ill buy one but 900 to a thousand for one is highway robbery just to have M4 feed ramps and the now higher but spec carry handle and FSB.

damn.. I just looked at the BM site on their standard M4 upper.. It's only 535 where as the colt is damned near 1K.
Just pointing that out... I'm not too overly concerned about pricetags.. If I planned on staying cheap I'd have gotten an SKS or something. I'm still not too sure though.. Damned brain trying to think instead of just spending $$$ |

More money dosent mean better,like jack said LMT is way less but with the M4 features as even if you get a real colt M4 barrel with the extension that has ramps you will need a proper upper for the barrel to index right or just get the whole thing from LMT and forget about it.

I've seen enough bad stuff about LMT just here alone to make me nervous about the brand.

what do to the LMTs run anyway? I had figured they'd be right up there with colt since I heard someplace they were a Govt. Contractor now. Also I've read some bad things about LMT here while I was checking around.. I'll have to check what kind of offers the dealers like MSTN have for them if they're bad quality or just refuse to work right. I'm sure as far as the finish the dealers would check that type of thing first. |

What's killing me is that I know I could get another brand done the way I want it for less than I could pay for the Colt then have work to do on it...
Cheaper and be setup the way I want it from teh go... Oh decisions decisions.. And I just realized the site I'm on so before anybody says it I'm not buying both or all three  So is there anymajor differences between LMT and say Bushmaster besides feedramp cuts? |
