Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - My little quandry

I've been wanting to buy a Colt lower only, and can't seem to find one locally.  I have been offered some good deals on complete rifles, in "post ban configuration.
Since I just want the lower for a future project, how much would a complete Colt upper, with b/bc in post ban form be worth?
I'm thinking maybe I'll just buy a whole gun & sell the upper.
