Should be a marking on the barrel. You can also tell by inspecting the barrel, but I havent tried, I always knew what was chrome and what was chrome moly, and never thought to see what the difference was.

If it's DPMS it's probably not chrome lined. If it is, it should be marked on the barrel. They just started offering chrome lined barrels, it is not standard like on Bushmaster or Colt barrels.

Its 1/7, and most 1/7 barrels are chromed, at least from other manufacturers, so maybe he got lucky.

I have a DPMS barrel, got it through CMMG, it is a special run for CMMG, it has the 1/7 twist and m4 feed ramps,also it is made of 4150 steel.
Also, it isnt marked on the barrel, it also has chamber for 223, it is actually chamber is for 556. Hope this helps. TG |

I could not find this on their website, but by the specs it is almost certainly chrome lined. CMMG orders lots of stuff in 556, 4150, 1/7 and chrome. |

CJ, it was one of their previous runs, dont think it one of their reg offerings, they always have special runs of barrels and uppers from time to time.
I think the new modles has 556 on the barrel. TG |

I've only handled two chrome-lined guns and both had a dull silver ring around the chamber and the muzzle.

All the barrel says is DPMS 1/7 223 on it. Wouls there be a stamp under the hand guards?
