I just got a RAS II SSS from a dealer & I am not pleased! This appears to be used or a demo BUT I did'nt pay a used or demo price! I thought that all RAS units had the numbers engraved? This one is bare all around except for the Knights' markings. It also has what looks like white scratches on it. I will contact the dealer on Monday to correct this situation. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Is it purple too?  I'm gonna be purchasing one soon and kind of worried about purchasing something over the internet.

Mine doesn't have the T markings (which I view as useless).  All information written on it (Company infor, product number, etc.) is in white.  It did have a few very minor rub marks on it when I bought it (new), but nothing that would effect function, and nothing that is actually scratched into the annodizing.  Mine is also solid black.

The RAS II do not have the T numbers on them.  The scratches could be from the unit moving around in the box when being shipped.  Take a patch with a little CLP on it and put it the scratch and wipe it off see if the scratch goes away.

The RAS II does not have T numbers on it. It only would have them had it been adopted by the military. Otherwise they are not required.

Thats why you seen the RAS M4 and M5 with them.....
