Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - how to remove roll pin?

How do I remove the roll pin in my tele stock? I don't have a punch but I have a precision screwdriver set which I have been using in place of one. I have been banging on that thing with a hammer forever but it does not even budge. Help!

Get a punch.  If you don't have a punch, a drill bit in the right size can work (but you'll probably break the bit, so use one you aren't fond of.  cheaper in long haul to get a punch set - I learned the hard way ).  You are probably either not actually making contact with the roll pin, or alternatively spreading/pressuring it by using the wrong tool.
