I am getting ready to have my muzzle brake removed and replaced with a flash hider.  My barrel is only 14.5" without the FH so I will need to pick one of the longer style and have it permanantly attached to give me the 16" overall length.  An A2 birdcage won't get it done.  I have about decided on the A3FSMS "Milspec" from Kurt's Kustom Firearms.  I did get the chance to look at some Phantoms today and they were interesting.  And of course the Vortex is an option as well.  Which one do you prefer and why?  Thanks!

I like my Phantom 5C2 I had a post ban barrel and didn't want to spring for getting a bayo lug so I got a flash supressor that would double as a bayonet Plus it just looks plain mean...

I have had Vortex, original Phantom and the 5C1, and I prefer the 5C1. I like that it indexes and keeps the dust signature down. Havent fired it yet, But it is supposed to work better than the original, which already worked very well.

You get this bennifit from the 5c2 also, but with the addition of the cool spikes also...

A1. Easy on, Easy off, no indexing.

He is asking about the longer ones to go on a 14.5" barrel.

G6 Vortex. It's long enough, eliminates all flash, and looks really damned cool to boot.

Phantom 5C2, looks "cool", works very well, and is half the cost of a Vortex.
