I was looking at the f.s. I got the other day and then looking at my barrel diameter and it seems as if there would need to be quite a bit of steel taken off when it gets threaded.  Does anyone have pics of a threaded barrel without anything attached to it?

The thread used is 1/2"x28tpi, so the diameter is 1/2" at the outside of the threads, and slightly less at the bottom of the threads. This is no cause for safety concerns.

It will need to be done on a lathe, to keep everything concentric.
