OK, its almost done.  Still trying to decide on the optic...scope or AA Eotech.
Anyways, I'm totally impressed so far and no, I have not shot for accuracy yet. I'm just trying to break it in correctly.
I can't stress enough my thanks to Paul at BravoCompanyUSA for the hard work on the upper! Do not hesitate to do business with him...he is definitely a class act!!
Thanks to Rich at Magpul for hooking me up with the stock...I was hooked on Vltors but this one is definitely growing on me!
And the lower was from the great guys at CMMG. A friend from DPMS and my local shop asked them for a favor knowing how impatient I am and they certainly delivered!!!
So here it is (so far)...

Hope you enjoy the pics!

thats a tight ass gun...  hum... 18"ers are a hard bet between scope,1x,or acog...  i'd look into an acog for that gun... if you can't afford it look into a IOR scope...

What's going on here at AR-15.com lately?  Seems to be alot of good-looking rifles being displayed.

Now you've gone and added another one.

Soooo many good ideas for new projects - my wallet can't take it.

VERY nice.    And I vote for scope over EOtech.

Damn nice rifle.

That is almost what I had invisioned for my first rifle build up back in 1998 when I selected this screen name.

I was going to use DPMS grey receiver parts with a stainless beed blasted barrel but all the furniture parts were going to be Armalite OD green.    It would have certainly been an "uglygun" back during a time before multicolored rail pannels or stock parts were common, much less fully camo'd guns(something I think I may have led the way with ;0).

I would say get yourself a nice medium range scope like a 3.5-10x Mildot or maybe even a fixed power 10x, you can always detach it for iron sight work at closer distances.     One of my favorite AR15s at the current moment is a 20inch A3 Bushmaster with a mil-dot scope on it being used as a designated marksman rifle.    Whenever I have a friend out with me it's a good spotter's rifle to back up my 300WinMag or just general target shooting.

Looks damn good.  What are the details on the refinish?  Who did it and what did they use?

Tell us more about the barrel. 18" with a rifle length gas system. What weight? SPR profile? Stainless?

Did you refinish it yourself, or did you have it done?

What finish was used?

That is SWEET.  I like the color combo.  CONGRATS!!  I hope it shoots as well as it looks.

Thanks for all the positive replies! I definitely spent more than I planned, but don't we all...
The OD finish is Duracoat.  The upper was built and finished by Paul at BravoCo. Again, I can't say enough good things about his service.
The lower is a DPMS ordered OD Duracoat from CMMG.
The barrel is the WOA 18" SPR contour stainless 1/7 twist.
And yes, I have the green Hogue and it matches great. However, when I put it on, it just seemed to scream for the black grip.
After I started this, I saw Underdog75's 16" green machine and started regretting my 18" choice. I can honestly say, not anymore!
