Just got back from the gun range. I was shooting my 16" A2 Colt. Noticed a Bushmaster and Olympic arms rifles up for sale. I wouldn't buy one of those pieces of S*** fo $50 Bucks.

with such airtight logic, you could work for NASA!

I always wondered what type of person is so infatuated with the Prancing Pony on the side of their gun that they have to bash other manufacturers for it.  Now I know; a dense one!

New to these boards, I thought this string would have a serious discussion on the relative merits of different AR15 makers.  Is it too late to ask a serious question?  Since Colt apparently does not intend to sell the 6920 to us mere mortals, who makes the best alternate rifle that has the same configuration as the LE 6920? Thanks.

Yepp! Im glad there are knockoff out there too because my friends molding shop pumps out the handgards for the M4 out of his presses for Colt & a half dozzen other companies too! CT is the AR15 subcontract capital of the world, followed my Ill & WA

BTW most of Colts parts are or were all subcontracted out to small shops &  all Cold did was assemble them!

Enjoy your Colt with the oversized fire control pins, large pin that holds the sear block in your reciever or that great PC name Match Target

Knockoffs? No Just companies giving the shooters & collectors what they wanted! As accurate of a firearm as the original without all the offset/oversize pins,Blocks of protruding sear block steel, missing Raised mag fence, missing push pins.

We should thank Colt! If they gave a dam about the civilian customer, we woulda had a reciever with the pony on it identical to the miltary counterpart minus the FA ability & there would not have benn great companies such as Eagle Arms (Armalite)Rock River,Olympic, & countless other companies who have stepped foward & given us what we wanted!
Colt has lost vision of the customer, If they had a clue they could put everyone else out of business! The name still holds some value but not that much!

Hagel! You are dismissed!

i respect your opinion man; everyone is entitled to pick their own brand of AR

h/w I will continue not to buy colt, not because thier products suck (they are actually good), but their POLICY SUCKS.

i will not support any company that does not support the private citizen

i'll sitick w/ my '$50 BUSHMASTER' and anyone who wants to buy an overpriced, overhyped, colt can do so

ps-- i would alos not buy an olympics, just b/c i have heard too much of thier quality problems
