What Lockedon said, except I'd prefer the Armalite.  Seriously, ya pays your money, ya takes your choice.  I don't think you'll be disappointed with either one.  Better still, get both!

Armalite is higher quality, but the M15A4 is a pig of a rifle.

You can't go wrong with either, IMHO.  They both have great quality and support the SHOOTER and our rights.  They both respond to their customers, although I've heard Armalite has better customer service by a bit.  With that said, I own a Bushy M4A3 and I love it.

Define Better.

Better in fit & finish - I'd go with the Armalite

Better in out-of-the-box reliablity?  I'd go with Bushmaster.

For me it's function over form, so I'd go with Bushmaster.

I think the functional difference is that the Armalite has  a mid length gas system and the BM has a traditional carbine length gas system.

Theoretically, the mid-length gas system will have a smoother, softer cycling feel (similar to a 20") than the carbine length system.  I've never shot one, so I don't know if it's actually the case.

That said, I have two BM's and they are great.
