Although I am sure many here would disagree. I like the wood furniture.

I like it too.  No its not a combat,SHTF, type AR, but it sure is classy and elegant.  Nice rifle.

I really want a set of wood furniture. I posted a WTB ad a few years back offering $500 for a set of wood furnitute and could not get anyone to turn loose of a set.

That set looks really nice.

wood furniture only belongs on the classic rifles--bolts, levers, garand

I'd buy that ugly ass rifle and promptly give it a once over with Krylon flat black. Would'nt even tape anything off!

I think it would classier if the metal was black. That shiny stuff makes it look ghetto.

Boy, it's a 'love it or hate it' sort of thing, isn't it?

I gravitate towards the former.    I've seen one with a black finish with wood, which I liked slightly more.     It was an old Colt, if memory serves.

If you want pretty wood, get a Browning or a Weatherby

I like it except that it's a Colt.

I like it as a wall hanger...but since I'm a shooter and not a collector, doesn't do me much good.

Wonder if it comes with a free gold tooth.

You know, I'd look good sliding to a stop in the range parking lot and pulling that baby out of the purple Expedition while the spinners were still turning.

Thats good!!   Wonder if Colt ever made any gold plated ones.. Or for the gang banger who has everything.. a platinum one with built in Xbox controllers, so you could play by using your acog as the screen.. Damn, gaming and banging at the same time!!

it actually looks pretty good for what it is, pretty convervative "satin" nickel.  But that said, I prefer my AR "black"

Ditch the wood...

Oh, and watch out, J & K will be around to collect that thing soon enough (it looks like a prop from MiB)....

Of course, the wood & obselete triangle handguards ruins that effect...

Wood is for C&R stuff...

Modern guns need synthetic furnature...

I'd love to have one of the original Coltguard Nickel plated rifles. Too much $$$ and too hard to find though. I'm not too hot on the wooden furniture, but I'd like to NP3 plate inside/out an AR and have it all black/silver, just to be a little different. NOTHING as bling bling as the gold plated AR though!
