Does anyone know if the Eagle Arms lower receiver is forged or cast?

Has anyone had any experience with the LRB Arms lower receivers? They look pretty good and is a great price. I haven't seen many feedback on them.

Eagle Arms (Armalite) are forged, and are a high quality lower.

Do not pay over $90 +S&H for a forged lower reciever, however...

ANY forged reciever is just as good as any other. Stinger, Mega Machine, Ameetec, and Grizzly are all available in the sub-$100 range, and have all had good reviews here...

Forged reciever, buffer & stock parts are all pretty much the same... The 'quality' of an AR is in the trigger group, bolt-carrier and barrel assemblies...

It is easier to say which lowers people do not like.

Hmmm, well most all work well.

Generally, most prefer forged receivers as being stronger, which they are.  Lowers with good reputations include:  Bushmaster, Colt, Eagle Arms (Armalite), RRA, PWA (older son has this one now), Sendra, Olympic Arms T3 (forged--I have 2), DPMS (I have 3), Mega, Stinger, Double Star, LAR-Grizzly, Stag Arms, and there are more, these are the names that come to mind immediately.

My experience, if you do get cast, the best is Essential Arms, and the cheapest ($67).  They work well, are investment cast, a good process. (I used to have one, seen lots of others).  DPMS makes an OK cast, but is so close in price to their forged, why not get the forged?

A few had problems with some Oly cast lowers, machining problems, a problem they corrected.  Oly would make those good if a customer had a problem.  Current ones should work OK, but their forged lowers are only $90.

Hesse (now Vulcan) made a synthetic (carbon fiber) lower with a bad reputation.

Cavalry Arms makes a synthetic lower (Nylon 6) with a very good reputation.  I have one.  If you don't mind being limited to an A1 length regular rifle stock, this is a nice lower.  Coupled with a 16" M4 or pencil barrel, these receivers can make up a very light rifle.
