I have a Colt 6400 & a Colt 6700.  I'm going to put a retracting stock on the Colt 6400;  as the 6700 has the plastic buffer, I am thinking I'm going to put the HD buffer from the 6400 into the 6700.  I'm thinking I can do this because the current buffer/spring in the 6400 is for a full length stock anyway.  Am I right, and will this work????
