It's Christmas in September this year for me, and I'm getting a new, ban-free Bushmaster of some sort.
On the one hand, I like the idea of having all the banned features, and the telestock, in my opinion, while feeling the same, looks better, so a CAR or M4gery has a few good arguments. On the other, a full-length gains in accuracy and stock-stability, plus it can be used in CMP matches. Of course, that last bit goes away if the CMP allows CAR-stocks and M4 profile barrels. Do they?
And then, there's the decision of ten dollars more for an M4gery, when I'll probably never use a 37mm M203-clone, so the M4-profile is not necessary, but it again looks better (although for a real M4gery, I'd need new handguards... the Bushy M4gery has CAR handguards, instead of the fat M4 guards).
Finally, there's the issue of A2 vs. A3. A3 comes with a carry handle/sight, and is easier to mount optics on once I can afford them. But it's $50 more in the shorties and $70 more in the full-length. I dunno if it's worth it.
(P.S. Price is an issue because it relates inversely to the number of mags I recieve with the rifle).
ARFCOMmer's opinions, bitte?
