Pretty obvious to me then that they ARE stupid.

"Therefore, effective 12:01 a.m. on September 13, 2004, the provisions of the law will cease to apply."

It's 1:25 PM Monday and they're still talking about how time is almost up and how the President is running out of time for a last minute extension. They also quoted a post on the NRA's website from July where the NRA told everyone to be watchful for a last minute attempt to extend the ban.

I guess this really illustrates how CNN DOES NOT research their stories. If anyone had any doubt before, their reputation is SHOT!
