Welded shut, there is no encaps on those suppresors

Are there any .223's that unscrew for maintenance? I know the pressures are higher, but if the threaded part is say 1" long of fine threads, then I doubt there would be a stregnth issue..

I don't believe any modern suppressors have any maintenance needs or access like you mention.
What is your reason for asking? Is there some benefit to a can that unscews? |

Just cleaning etc etc...
Our SRT has Gemtech on the M4's, and the bottom of the can unscrews, and we clean some of the crud out once a year or so... Was just wondering about others for my personal use.. |

Oh. Didn't know any of them opened up.
On mine, about once a year I let them soak in solvent, then use compressed air to blow them clear. Weird thing is, for the "wet" can for the HK Tactical, the manufacturer said DO NOT clean it. Just keep adding grease as needed. Weird that. |

Yes, it can be inspected, cleaned, and the baffle stacks rotated for longevity. |
