Skip the carry handle. Why would you want to spend (nearly) the same amount of money on a carry handle that you would on a good BUIS? Makes no sense at all. If you are going with an Aimpoint (which is my choice), get a good fixed BUIS. If you put a regualr magnified scope on it, get a flip-up BUIS.
For fixed BUIS I strongly suggest LaRue. LMT is a not too close second, IMHO. The LaRue is lighter than the LMT. The LMT has elevation adjustment, but you more than likely will NOT need it. The LaRue has a wider channel than the LMT, so you get a little less view obstructed by the BUIS. The LMT's left-side knob sometimes gets in the way when charging the rifle. I have both and like both. I just think the LaRue is better. Plus, it's cheaper! Give Grant at
GandR Tactical a call and tell him BookHound sent ya. He will take great care of you.
For a flip-up BUIS I like the ARMS 40 and 40L. Difference is the 40L flips up to the small aperture and has a lower profile (better to fit under SOME scopes).
FOr Aimpoints, get the ML2. The M2 model will work with night vision. If you don't think you'll ever get NV, save some money (ML2 is cheaper) and also get more daylight brightness settings (the M2 has fewer daylight setting because it has some NV settings). Stay FAR away from the magnified Aimpoints. They suck IMHO.
For the Aimpoint mount go with a LaRue or an ARMS 22M68 with canteliver spacer.
Hope this helps.
