If you're talking about the sear block, it's pretty hard to miss. There is a block of metal, blind pinned into the receiver, just above the safety. IIRC, it even protrudes above the lower receiver walls.

It isn't always a pinned block. Some of them are simply unmilled areas in the lower.

Yep, the current crop of Colts are like that, simply an unmilled area. |
