Crooked FSP on Bushy

Well I'm getting everything in order for the 14th and realized the FSP on a new upper is noticably canted to the right. This is a new Bushy upper straight from the company. I suppose I could just fix it when I put a new FSP on, but it's just dissapointing.

Or you could send it back to Bushie for a fix, or replacement

Send it back. I had the same problem. I sent it back and they fixed it. Got it back in about two weeks. No charge. Just paid for shipping to Bushmaster.

Are you talking about the post or the tower mounted to the barrel?

How does it shoot?

If you're talking about the FSB it's not always canted. Many times the barrel is not indexed correctly into the slot in the upper receiver.

There is an easy correction for this. Check the Troubleshooting forum, there are several threads about canted barrels, FSB's and shooting too far off to one side.

This is the problem. It's an assembly error, and unfortunately a common one, but it's also quite easy to fix. Anyone with the tools to rebarrel an upper can fix this in 5 minutes.

That sucks and if you send it back then you shouldn't have to pay for shipping when the FSP should have been correct when it left Bushmaster.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think you're right on the barrel not being indexed properly and my smith is gonna fix it for me when I have my sunset goodies put on:D

mine was originally like that too, what kind of post assembly QC ARE THEY RUNNING OVER THERE?
