any experience with these? pics? I may build a varmint upper and these look an alternative to expensive rail systems (too much rail space I wont use)

ARMALITE made some ar-10ts for Canadian military snipers with the BADGER handguard it seems to be a great peice of kit. I have never seen a POS Badger Ordinance product.

We carry, and I use, Badger Ords floater. It is ergonomically shaped and sits well on bags or on a backpack. Very stable with the flat bottom.

I was thinking about one of the Badgers for a disapator build. Anyone seen any pics of something along those lines? Any opinions how that would look?

Here is a pic of the Badger Ordnance Rifle length hanguard. There is also a model with pic rails or they can be attached later if needed.

Does anyone have any pics of the mounting end off this thing off the rifle? I am interested in seeing how it mounts and whether it would be solid on the rifle or not. What's to keep it indexed?

The mounting block goes on first (shown in photo), then the barrel nut (not shown). I have a copy of the installation procedure somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. A bit more complicated than a "normal" installation.  |

The Badger Handguards are awesome. They give a wide stable platform for either mounting a bipod or resting it on a sandbag.

I have the rifle length handguard on a custom upper that George Gardner put together for me and it is a really nice piece of hardware. Very, very solid and extremely well made - like all Badger products. I went with an 18" barrel and the Badger gas block and it is a pretty sweet looking set-up (but beauty is in the eye of the beholder). I would highly recommend this handguard, especially if you plan on doing a lot of static type shooting.
