Off topic observation: M4 Commando barrel length is 11.5" and effective range is 600m with a muzzle velocity of 2611fps!?!?!?  The almighty Ammo Oracle gives an 11.5" barrel an effective range of 12-15m with M855 & 40-45m with M193(it gives distance to 2700fps which is considered effective velocity for proper fragmenting - around 2500-2700fps). Maybe if you shot the entire rifle out of a cannon, it might be deadly at 600m.
