Haven't had any mortar/rocket attacks in the last few days.  Got a new ARMS SIR and BUIS for my M4 along with a new EOTech.  Also recieved a scout scope mount and another EOTech for my M14.  My oldest son had a near miss rocket strike the other day but luckely he's fine.  Here's a pic of us together in Baghad a few weeks ago.

He has since then turned in his Mossberg 590 for a Remington 870 MCS.  It comes with a 10,14, and 18" bbls, pistol grip, full stock with grip, 4 chokes, and 3 different magazine lengths.  Our minigun did recieve its baptism of fire down south last week.

Glad to hear you are getting some weapons updates, and I'm even more happy to hear you aren't having much incoming lately.

God bless you two... come home safe.

I do salute you and your family. I couldn't imagine being away from the family fighting in Iraq....let alone knowing my own son is there with me. I have four kids and I honestly don't know how I would handle it while my son was there. You are definitely a stronger man than me.

The wife back home, your son in the combat zone with you and all the other stress that you have to deal with doesn't seem fair for one man to handle. You will be in my family's prayers tomorrow at Church. Keep your head up and know that there are lot of people's prayers with you here.

God Bless,
Ron

Of course she is...  Damn.  I'm worried enough about some of "my" young soldiers that've been deployed, never mind a child of mine.  I don't even want to think about having to do that.

Wear your armor all the time, no exceptions for comfort or laziness.  Keep your head down and your eyes open.  And always know where the closest hole is.  Bring your boy and "my" boys home in one piece.

Combat, I'm sorry, but that photo is badass.

I appreciate what you are doing over there. I imagine there are many others that appreciate it more than I do ( Iraqi people ).

Quick question - I've seen tons of Army folk over there with their sleeves still down. Doesn't anybody roll them up? Must get hotter n' hell in those BDUs.

You guys stay safe please.

If either of you ever need anything, you know where to turn to.  I don't mind donating a paycheck or two to ensure that the two of you have what you need over there.

Blackjack,

We still keep our sleeves down due to the fact that it's around 110 degrees out and you don't want to burn.  We keep hydrated of course.  That body armor gets quite hot!

All,

Thanks again for all the support and prayers.  I'll try and get a pic of my tricked out M4 for you guys.
