Depends on your needs. I use one for IPSC/3-gun and its hands down the fastest reload you can get... much superior to jungle clips, and no risk of getting crap in the spare mag. The RediMag is easy to install, requires no modifications to the host rifle and can be removed in a few minutes if need be. The only real down side for a combat rifle is (1) it makes the rifle heavier in the hand and very slightly off balance to the left, and (2) the mag can rattle a tad.

Is the bolt release easily accessible? After you change the mags can you "slap" the release? If I can do that I am going to get one. Thanks.

The kit comes with an extension for the bolt catch/release... operation is very friendly, I have had one for some time and like it a lot.
