Can anyone tell me what is the barrel length of an Armalite M-15A4 Carbine is AFTER the factory-permantly-installed muzzle brake is REMOVED. I ask b/c after the AWB sunset I want to have the brake removed, the barrel threaded for a removeable flash suppressor. I'm trying to figure out if the barrel will still be a true (legal) 16" so that I wont have to SBR it to stay legal if my flash supp. is removable. I measured it real quick from the receiver and it looked as though the actual barrel is under 16" with permanent brake getting it to 16". So is the barrel gonna be under 16" without the brake attached?
'Cause that would ruin my plan, and I dont feel like goin through the hoops of SBR'ing this thing.
