I bought an Accu-Wedge from Bushmaster to put in my new AR....figured that it would be good preventative maintenance to keep the receivers from ever getting loose.  My question is:  How much resistance should you feel when closing the receivers??  I had to put some serious energy with both hands into getting the takedown pin back in.  I left it in for about a week thinking that it would conform to the compression.  I took my rifle out for the first time today to put a few rounds through it hen  Is this normal??  Will too much tension hurt anything in the rifle (like the receiver pin holes/pins, etc.)?

Thanks for any help!

Mine was very tight.

I like them, I use them, others here don't like them and don't use them.

To each his own.

It might be an okay idea for you to trim one down a bit since your current one split.  It will fit better and be easier to close/open.

I have one in one carbine and one without.

I honestly dont notice a difference.
